Bio:

I have had the opportunity to be involved in several different businesses and avocations throughout my life, but starting in 1990 I began working with woods that I gathered around my own area (the Ozarks), found as driftwood and roots and burls. My idea was and still is that the natural growth patterns and variations accumulated from the growth and then aging of these pieces would be highlighted through my work.

Along with my wife Marianne, who is also an artist and exhibitor, I have traveled to many of the US juried art shows for the last 11 years. During this time I have been awarded many recognitions and awards. This life style has been highly rewarding and I’m still excited about its prospects and also still improving and refining my technique daily. Douglas Glascock
